KAWHI LEONARD WILL BE OUT FOR 2024 PRESEASON AND SEASON OPENER IN 2024
KNEE INJURY CONTINUES TO BE A PROBLEM FOR TWO TIME FINALS MVP
LOS ANGELES, CA - Kawahi Leonard will be ruled out for the remainder of the preseason and is unlikely to return for the season opener in 2024.
Kawhi once again is dealing with a knee that he has recently had surgery on. The knee caused him to exit the 2023 playoffs against the Dallas Mavericks and after an offseason of recovery, Leonard will remain on the bench.
The Clippers and Kawhi have agreed to be safe and give the injury time to heal to avoid any other nagging issues later in the season. Clippers fans have struggled to find their star in recent years with every major signing going down with some injuries.
Now with the exit of Paul George and Russell Westbrook, the Clippers are going to need help from their young stars on the bench. Kawhi hopes to only miss the season opener and return to form following game one.
LA will host their first home game of the 2024 season against the Phoenix Suns on October 23rd in the brand new Intuit Dome.
