DODGERS LOSE GAME 3 AGAINST PADRES
TEOSCAR HERNANDEZ HITS GRAND SLAM TO KEEP IT A ONE RUN GAME
The San Diego Padres are one game away from advancing to the NLCS after taking game three away from the Los Angeles Dodgers. A series filled with drama, as there are no smiles from either team. The energy is unlike any other playoff series in 2024 and with King up against a struggling Beuhler, Padres fans were rushing to see a dominant pitching performance.
The pitching was not up to par by both baseball clubs as both starts would leave after the fifth inning. King looked like he would repeat his performance against Atlanta in the Wild Card round, but after a Teoscar Hernandez grand slam, King knew his perfect night was ruined.
Buehler allowed all six runs in the bottom of the second innings, due to a crushing home run by Tatis and some fielding errors made by the Dodgers. Demoralizing plays by the Dodgers led to Beuhlers angered actions slamming equipment in the dugout. Dave Roberts made the decision to keep Beuhler in the game for three more innings as Teoscar’s grand slam made it a one run game.
The Padres bullpen would go one and finish the game on and have remained dominant only allowing one run past the 6th inning of this divisional series. There is not doubt the Padres are the hotter team,as they have been since the final months of the regular season, but the Dodgers are one game away from being sent home for the third year in a row in the divisional round.
According to multiple reports, Wednesday’s match will be a bullpen game, and San Diegans will be happy to hear the the best bullpen in MLB from San Diego will be holding on against the Dodgers.
If the Padres do advance, there is no doubt they will be a World Series favorite. Their hot bats and amazing pitching staff are a recipe for success. A team with nothing to lose and playing like so, the Padres are the scariest team in baseball.
