MATTHEW STAFFORD THROWS 4 TD’S IN WIN OVER NEW ENGLAND
RAMS CONTINUE TO KEEP PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE IN WIN OVER PATRIOTS
Inglewood, CA – After falling to a 4-5 record against the Miami Dolphins on Monday NIght football, the Rams require a win to stay with the NFC West.
The NFC West is undoubtedly the closest division in the NFL, in regards to record. Arizona currently leads the division with a 6-4 record on their bye week. And with the 49ers and Seahawks playing a division game this was a must win game for Los Angeles.
A surprising move for the Rams was announced, prior to the first snap with Beaux Limmer making his way back to starting at center. Limmer has replaced, free agent signing, Jonah Jackson for the starting center role. With a few missed snaps by Jackson last week against the Dolphins, it should come of no surprise that Jackson was benched in hopes to fix some issues in training. Steve Avila would also make his second consecutive start at left guard this season.
With Matthew Stafford fully loaded with his weapons in Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp back and healthy. The Rams would lay it all out in the air as Stafford threw for 295 yards and tying a season high of 4 touchdowns. Kupp and Nacua both ended above 100+ yards and touchdown catches to their name.
The turnover bug did not bother the Rams this week as Stafford ended his 6 game streak with an interception against the Patriots. Sacks and fumbles were also in the rear view mirror for the newly vamped offensive line.
The Los Angeles Rams are a tricky team to categorize, as every week is another turn in the 2024 season, but as the trade deadline has passed the Rams are going to stick with the core they have and once again try to inspire the young defense to carry the team through a playoff berth.
The young defense in all three levels has been a joy to watch for Rams fans. Every week there are big plays to be made whether it is a sack or interception, the Rams defense continues to step up when plays are needed.
The L.A. Rams will play the Eagles on November 24th for primetime Sunday Night Football on NBC.
