IS ANYBODY SHOCKED FROM CHARGERS SUCCESS IN 2024?
Inglewood, CA - A year ago today, the Los Angeles Chargers found themselves with a 4-6 record preparing for Baltimore. A team that struggled to find its identity with a crumbling coaching staff and loss of star players due to injury.
Now in 2024, the Chargers are showing promise in what is to come from Jim Harbaugh’s tenure in Los Angeles.
There are many departments to point at as the reason for success in L.A., which is a good problem to have. In the one year span almost every position department has changed drastically and it has worked for the better. For starters, the offensive line has grown in size with Rashawn Slater back to full health along with 2024 Rookie Joe Alt. The running back room, with Dobbins and Edwards, carried so much weight on their shoulders in the early part of the season. Now a dual threat offense has emerged with Herbert slowly getting more passing opportunities with Coach Harbaugh.
This is a team that has been told to trust the process. All pieces will slowly start falling into place with a team whose expectations were to prepare for 2025.
However, the defense shines bright for Jim Harbaugh. Los Angeles is top 10 in both rushing and passing defense in the NFL and it helps by having some established Veterans in Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa leading the Charge. No pun intended.
Daiyan Henley is another big social media presence for the Chargers who is 7th in the NFL in solo tackles and 13th in total tackles made.
This is a very exciting time to be a Chargers supporter, with a healthy mix of veterans and rookies the Chargers are in position to maintain this success for years to come. It is a recipe that will serve amazing production on the field, and with the final seasoning of a franchise QB in Herbert, this is a scary AFC team to face in the playoffs.
The LA Chargers are preparing for Baltimore on Monday Night Football this week. A game that will have betters having to double take who will add another win to their column.
