KINGS HAVE TWO PRESEASON GAMES REMAINING
KINGS WIN BOTH GAMES AGAINST DUCKS OUTSCORING ANAHEIM 7-2
Only two more games remain for the Kings this preseason and once again the LA club looks strong early in the year. After shutting down their freeway rival in Anaheim, the Kings are only hoping for a safe and clean preseason before opening face off on October 10th against the Buffalo Sabers.
Not many standout performances were on display for the Kings that will guarantee a roster spot, but Akil Thomas had an outstanding game 1 for LA compared to the second. A goal and assist went to the 2018 draft pick and fans are excited to see if he can finally break out after struggling to make the NHL team for years.
Still a big question for LA, is how well Tanner Jeannot will do after being traded by the Lightning to the Kingsin the offseason. A total of 18 points in 75 games with the Lightning the Kings are wanting to get him back to his 2021 form back with Nashville accruing 41 points in 81 games.
The trade went hand in hand with the trade of Pierre-Luc Dubois. The questionable exit by the forward as he was recently acquired by the Kings in last year. His trade also included a massive 8 year $68 million dollar contract. After a year he was sent over to the Capitals for Darcy Keumper.
Keumper has some impressive performances in black and glitter and Kings fans should be excited to see him split some time with David Rittich.
October 8th will be submission day of the opening day roster, and it will be exciting to see who will make the final cuts.
