WILD CARD MATCH BETWEEN RAMS AND VIKINGS MAY BE POSTPONED DUE TO LA FIRES
Los Angeles- The 2024 Los Angeles Rams hold the fourth seed heading into the playoffs and will host their first home playoff game since their 2021 Super Bowl run.
The Rams host the Minnesota Viking this upcoming Monday, January 13th, at SoFi Stadium and it is set to be a rematch of the Week 8 bout between the two NFC teams and the Rams are looking to get past the Wild Card round and forget about their loss to the Lions in the 2023 playoffs.
Unfortunately, the city of Los Angeles is in crisis mode trying to handle three multiple brush fires stretching across thousands of acres. The fires have affected affluent neighborhoods in northern Los Angeles, with some players and coaches affected from other sports teams in LA.
Lakers head coach, JJ Redick, made the announcement that his home was burned down during one of the fires and it forced the hand of the NBA to postpone the game between LA and the Hornets this Thursday evening.
In response to cancellations of games, the NFL and LA Rams have released a statement saying βIn this instance, the game would be played on Monday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, if necessary.β
More updates will continue to develop as the fires continue to spread forcing more mandatory evacuations of northern Los Angeles. The hard men and women are fighting sleep dn exhaustion for the greater good of the Angelino town and for Rams fans they hope to host a playoff game this Monday night.
