NFL HAS SUSPENDED ALARIC JACKSON FOR TWO GAMES

Alaric Jackson vs the 49ers in Week 2 Of the 2022 season.

The Projected Starting Left Tackle Alaric Jackson Is Suspended For Two Games With No Pay

According to Kevin Patra of the NFL, Alaric Jackson has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2024 NFL season. The presumed starting left tackle for the Rams will now be watching the first two games of the season, against the Lions and Cardinals, from home. Jackson will return to play in week three against the 49ers at SoFi Stadium.

The announcement is another blow for Rams fans who have already heard of Johan Jackson and Rob Havenstein having lingering injuries this training camp.

According to ESPN, “No further details on the suspension were given.”

The left-tackle is entering his fourth season with the Rams, as many were excited to see his improvements he made in the offseason. The former second round pick out of Iowa, beat out Joe Noteboom for the starting left tackle role last season and was expected to carry on.

Joe Noteboom is expected to start in place of Jackson against the Lions in week 1, unless Head Coach Sean McVay has other plans for the offensive line. Jackson is under his last year of control with the Rams as he had high hopes to make a case for a big free agent move this upcoming offseason.

Noteboom has been on a downward trail as he lost his starting job in the 2023 season after receiving a 3-year, 40 million dollar extension in 2022. Now in the final year of that extension Noteboom has an opportunity to showcase to other teams, and to McVay, on why he should remain the starting left tackle for the Los Angeles Rams.
