DODGERS WIN 4TH SERIES IN A ROW
DODGERS HAVE ONE LAST 4 SERIES AND MUST TAKE DOWN NL WEST RIVALS THE ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
Since the beginning of the Cardinals series on August 16th, the Los Angeles Dodgers have not lost a series against tough opposition. In the four series the Dodgers took down the Cardinals, Mariners, Rays, and Orioles winning eight out of twelve games in that time. After taking the series from the Orioles, the Dodgers have been moving on up the power rankings right ahead of the Yankees. In the possible World Series Preview against the Orioles, the Dodgers demonstrated how easily a win can come by as long as the pitching staff can pull through. With a heavy amount of injuries to the pitching rotation, the Dodgers are in need of some desperate minor league arms to get them through until the return of their main starters, such as Yamamoto, Kershaw, and Glasnow.
With the Dodgers in a tight race against the Arizona Diamondbacks for the top of the NL West, the games matter more than ever with the Snakes trailing by only four games, following tonight’s loss. With only one game left in the four games series the Dodgers are in a must win situation in order to ensure a stronger lead before the two games series against the Angels this week.
The projected starter for tomorrow’s match is Jack Flaherty, who has been an outstanding addition to the starting rotations after acquiring him from the Detroit Tigers. Flaherty is posting a 3.49 ERA through 28.1 innings while only allowing 12 runs. One game remains for the Dodgers to keep the Diamondbacks at bay in the NL wild card.
