ANGELS WILL HAVE ANOTHER LOSING SEASON FOR THE NINTH YEAR STRAIGHT
ANGELS HAVE NOT TURNED THE TIDE ON FRANCHISE SUCCESS
The Angels will hold the longest losing season streak in all of MLB active teams, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. A franchise that was rumored to begin a relocation process earlier in the season is now in shambles. Nine years of losing seasons is not something taken lightly and the Angel ownership needs to make big changes soon.
The season was projected to be around a .500 winning percentage. Young prospects along with a new manager in Ron Washington, the baseball club had support of the fans again with a vision of a better future.
Now that vision is still on the way with a young core slowly assimilating themselves in the starting lineup. Players like Zach Neto, Logan O’Hoppe, and Nolan Schanuel have been those young players that have shown promise throughout the course of the regular season.
However, the story has been injuries for the Angels this year. Losing Mike Trout for the remainder of the season was another crushing blow to one of the best players this generation has ever seen. Along with Trout, Rendon also had his struggles of inconsistent health, and would not be able to remain on the diamond everyday.
